Designed by a Pioneer
Smart-Choice trawl doors are designed by Smári Jósafatsson of Iceland, who brings 50 years of experience in trawl door development. Smári worked for decades with his father, Jósafat Hinriksson, the creator of Poly-Ice trawl doors.
He built them, contributed to research and development, led sales and marketing, and later designed the Ekkó trawl doors. Smart-Choice is the next evolution of that legacy.
