The Smart-Choice shrimp and nephrops trawl doors feature an innovative double spoiler design that operates at approximately 25° angle of attack. This configuration provides optimum performance for bottom-trawling shrimp and nephrops.

Despite operating at a slightly higher angle than the semi-pelagic models, the double spoiler design still significantly reduces drag compared to traditional trawl doors, resulting in lower fuel consumption and reduced environmental impact.
